Kuching – Friday, 29 October 2010 - YAB Pehin Sri Haji Abdul Taib Mahmud, Chief Minister of Sarawak launched the “SWEETHEARTS OF SARAWAK’ during the SARAWAK FORESTRY Annual Dinner. The ‘Sweethearts of Sarawak’ is an exclusive coffee table book produced and published by SARAWAK FORESTRY in collaboration with LimKokWing University of Creative Technology. The book features the amazing orangutans of wildlife centres in Semenggoh and Matang. The ‘Sweethearts of Sarawak’ introduces the fascinating characters of various orangutans and the noble efforts in providing the proper rehabilitation and conservation for them in Sarawak. Fascinating pictures will allow readers to get acquainted with the individual characters of these ‘Wild Men of the Forest’ and they will definitely fall in love with these orangutans – the Sweethearts of Sarawak. The book will be available at the Park Shop of all national parks in Sarawak and soon at the nearest bookstore. The proceeds from the sale of this book will be channeled to the Wildlife Conservation Fund.
